School Colours

The school colours are red and grey. Sweatshirts and cardigans are available in the school colours embroidered with the school badge, usually from stock. It is also possible to order polo shirts, T- shirts and shorts through school. These items can be ordered termly. Alternatively clothes in school colours can be bought at most multiple store retailers.

The wearing of "school uniform" adds a feeling of community to the school and we are pleased that parents support the school in this policy. It is important that children are dressed appropriately for the school day. Suitable trousers in black or grey may also be worn by girls. Aprons are provided for children for art activities.

Clothing Essentials

It is essential that all clothing is marked with the child's name!

This is most important, even underwear gets lost!!

A comfortable shoe, e.g. slippers, plimsolls, sandals etc. is needed to change into when children enter school. This helps to ensure that the dirt is kept out of school. Our caretakers work very hard to maintain the high standards of cleanliness we have at Elloughton School.

A bag is needed for P.E. kit, a draw string bag is most suitable.

P.E.  KIT

It is recommended that a pair of plain coloured shorts and T-shirt be provided for P.E., preferably in a combination of the school colours red and white. All indoor P.E. is done in bare feet but suitable footwear is needed for outdoor P.E. and GAMES. Children in Key Stage 2 take part in games every week and need a suitable change of clothing and footwear. During the cold weather tracksuits or old trousers and jumpers are needed to keep warm. A change of socks is particularly essential. Children should be able to change back into clean and dry school uniform after games sessions.
