Parent's Area - Home School Agreement
We believe that children learn most effectively in a secure, happy environment, where both home and school work together to support the child. To strengthen the sense of partnership that already exists we are now offering a partnership agreement to the parents of our pupils.
We offer:
- to help your child reach his/her potential;
- equality of opportunity to each pupil;
- a broad, balanced curriculum in accordance with the National Curriculum;
- an environment which supports a high level of achievement;
- an environment which promotes the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of all our children;
- a stimulating internal and external environment that encourages children to be curious and enthusiastic;
- an environment which fosters self confidence, self discipline and thereby safe children;
- links with the local community
- regular communication with parents;
- high levels of attendance;
- a school uniform/colour for all our pupils;
- a wide range of extra-curricular activities
- the opportunity to study a foreign language in Years 5 and 6;
- an active School Association;
- to promote good behaviour and discipline;
- clear guidelines on Homework;
- to let you know about any concerns or problems which may affect your child's work or behaviour.
We ask you to:
- encourage your children with their work;
- spend time talking about and looking at work;
- attend school functions including parents' evenings;
- support the school's home school reading and homework policies;
- support the school's efforts to promote good behaviour and discipline;
- encourage your child to attend extra-curricular activities;
- let the school know about any concerns or problems that might affect your child's work or behaviour;
- inform us when you know that your son/daughter will be absent, for example, medical visits;
- inform us as soon as possible when your son/daughter is absent;
- take holidays, whenever possible, during the school holidays;
- inform us of any change to your contact numbers;
- ensure that your child is in a fit condition to be able to take part in a full school day when they attend school.

It is important in a rapidly changing world that children have a sense of security and belonging. This document attempts to add to those feelings.
For your child to succeed we need your support and agreement.
